Our contribution to the long night of sciences 2025

This year, the long night of sciences took place on Saturday, 25. October, where the MPZPM opened its doors to the public. Our contribution was all about diffusion: We presented an interactive simulation of different influences of the diffusivity of particles;  furthermore we used augmented reality to show how fast particles of different sizes diffuse in and around human cells. Of course, also our research topics – from how immune cells ‘hunt’ for intruding pathogens or how proteins search for their targets within the cell nucleus – were presented to interested visitors.
